On organizing and holding the III International Open Internet Olympiad on the discipline "Descriptive Geometry and Engineering Graphics" among students of higher education institutions
REGULATION
In order to implement the “Plan for Implementing the Concept for Developing the Digital Education System in Turkmenistan” approved by the Resolution of the President of Turkmenistan №.340 dated on September 15, 2017, and the Plan of Measures to Implement the “Concept for Improving the Teaching of Subjects in Natural and Exact Sciences in Turkmenistan” approved by the Resolution of the President of Turkmenistan №.2006 dated on December 4, 2020. These Regulations have been prepared for holding the III International Open Internet Competition on the discipline “Descriptive Geometry and Engineering Graphics” is being held among students of higher educational institutions of Turkmenistan and abroad.
I. General provisions
on the organization and holding of the III International Open Internet Olympiad (here in after referred to as the Internet Olympiad) among students of higher education institutions on the discipline "Descriptive Geometry and Engineering Graphics" It is a regulatory document that determines the procedure for its implementation.
At a time when the educational system of Turkmenistan is harmoniously integrating into the world scientific and educational space, the main task is to identify bright, talented, creative and capable young people who are loyal to the Motherland, our people, and the President of Turkmenistan. Holding such competitions helps to identify talented young people who are capable of scientific research and who can independently find solutions to complex problems for the innovative and technological sectors of the rapidly developing market economy of Turkmenistan.
The aim of the Internet Olympiad:
- teaching students to think independently, work independently, and solve scientifically complex problems;
- to create a desire to study in-depth subjects related to natural and exact sciences and to apply theoretical knowledge in practice;
- to foster the will to win in young people, as well as to create opportunities for participants to reveal their intellectual abilities.
The features of the Internet Olympiad:
- to create interest in solving practically oriented problems through the use of modern digital information and communication technologies;
- to activate the interaction between higher education institutions and leading scientific centers through digital information and communication technologies;
- identifying talented and capable young people, creating positive conditions for their further intellectual development and professional choices.
II. Organizational and methodological support for the Internet Olympiad
2.1. An organizing committee is created to exercise general management over the organization and holding of the Internet Olympiad. The composition of the organizing committee is approved by order of the rector of the Institute of Engineering-technical and Transport Communications of Turkmenistan.
2.2. Organizing Committee:
- Determines the basic principles of holding the Internet Olympiad and carries out organizational work on its organization and holding;
- Prepares proposals, methodological and instructional manuals, and guidelines for determining the schedule and timing of the Internet Olympiad;
- Works with representatives of higher education institutions participating in the Internet Olympiad to prepare Olympiad tasks in their subjects;
- Considers applications from Internet Olympiad participants and conducts explanatory work on complaints and individual applications.
III. Procedure for organizing and conducting the Student Internet Olympiad
3.1. The Internet Olympiad is held in the form of a task (online) on the discipline "Descriptive Geometry and Engineering Graphics" of the general professional set of subjects .
3.2. The Internet Olympiad is open to students studying in higher education programs of various fields and specialties of all higher education institutions in Turkmenistan and abroad, regardless of their sectoral jurisdiction and organizational and legal form.
3.3. The working languages of the Internet Olympiad are Turkmen, English and Russian.
3.4. Students who have shown the best results in their higher education institutions can participate in the Internet Olympiad. The number of students is not limited.
3.5. Students from higher education institutions of Turkmenistan and abroad who wish to participate in the Olympiad should send their information till May 7, 2025, to the email address tituki.olimpiada.2022@gmail.com or https://tituki.edu.tm/campus on the official website of the institute for register.
3.6. The Internet Olympiad begins on May 10, 2025 , at 11:00 a.m. Ashgabat time. Participants must join an online conference via the ZOOM program at the specified time and complete 10 tasks within 180 minutes. The tasks will be available at the time of the Olympiad's start at https://tituki.edu.tm/campus will be posted on the institute's official website and sent to participants via the ZOOM program.
After the end of the allotted time for the Internet Olympiad, the lists of completed tasks should be scanned and sent to the e-mail address tituki.olimpiada.2022@gmail.com within 20 minutes. The completion of each task should be on a separate list, and each list should include the task number and the participant's name and surname. The drawings should be completed manually or on a computer in accordance with the requirements of international standards and in the format specified in the task. The tasks are evaluated according to the level of complexity. In case of a tie, additional points are awarded to the participant who completed the tasks in the shortest time and in the most convenient way. Thus, a participant who completed the tasks of the Olympiad in full and correctly is given a score of 100 points.
3.7. The Internet Olympiad is held in individual and team competitions.
3.8. The Jury of the Internet Olympiad includes representatives of higher educational institutions of Turkmenistan and foreign countries and determines the winners of the Olympiad. The composition of the Jury of the Internet Olympiad is approved by the Rector of the Institute of Engineering-technical and Transport Communications of Turkmenistan.
3.9. Participants in the Internet Olympiad have the right to file a complaint through their team leader.
3.10. Complaints are reviewed by the Panel of Judges and the final outcome is determined by the Panel Chair, whose final decision is final.
IV. Procedure for determining and awarding the winners of the Internet Olympiad
4.1. The individual placings of the participants of the Internet Olympiad on the discipline "Descriptive Geometry and Engineering Graphics" are determined by the Jury based on the total points accumulated.
4.2. The results of the Internet Olympiad are formalized in the form of protocols and approved by order of the Rector of the Institute of Engineering-technical and Transport Communications of Turkmenistan.
4.3. The winners of the Internet Olympiad are awarded with diplomas of I, II, III degrees.
